Why are we not sanctioning India? They're increasingly becoming a huge threat, and it's becoming clear they're an authoritarian, fascist government disguised as a "democracy".

They're throwing their religious minorities into concentration camps, treating their women as cattle, and oppressing Kashmir with internet blackouts. They've killed hundreds of people in the farmer protests.

Personally, I would like to see India stop taking jobs from the American tech sector. We shouldn't be allowing India to steal jobs that rightfully belong to people who actually believe in Western values.

We only sanction countries that don't play ball with us, we don't care at all how oppressive the country is. Our best buds are saudi arabia and israel who are both doing a genocide.

Because our superfluous consumer goods are made in Bangladesh instead.
Sanctions against outsourced IT and call centers could be hilarious, but that would just move it all back to Ukraine.

There is a lot of discrimination among themselves based on tradition and a human caste system.

Two things can be bad at the same time. I can criticize both America and India. It's not mutually exclusive.

I know America isn't perfect. With that said, I would much prefer if America remained the main superpower and didn't cede it to a country that doesn't respect women's rights and imprisons its religious minorities.

Not that I think India is going to become a superpower anytime soon, but the thought of that possibility should give people a lot to be worried about.
