it's not fear of missing out. or maybe some form of it, dunno. just when i read/see people going out, chilling with friends, partying with strangers, fucking flings, and everyone laughing and smiling, i get this intense burning longing

some part of me has always wanted to do all that once again. but i didnt fully acknowledge the desire to until we were well within the throes of the pandemic. that was november. it's now 6 months later and ive still had no safe opportunity to do this

all my friends living life are fine and healthy. i locked down for over a year and probaabl;y have covid

took PCR test yestersay- doc said 2-3 days i'll get results emailed

and there's the fact that i pretty much all my social relationshops wither and die a long time ago, and ignored the efforts of those who reached out in the beginning of covid.

now im trapped between feeling like it's wrong and bordering evil for people to still be going out in public, and wanting intensely to do it myself

Totally understandable. It seems like some people havent changed their way of living at all, and those are the ones who seem unaffected by the whole thing.

But yeah not seeing friends or family has definitely taken a toll on all of us. I havent seen certain family members in over a year, and they dont have much time left.

ive seen friends a handful of times, but its still a big change from pre COVID. It used to be every Friday night, now it might be 4 times a year.

for what its worth, I do think were doing the right thing, and we seem to be at the tail end of this stuff.

and maybe once things do go back to normal, we wont take advantage of certain things. Idk
