I have yet to find good, interesting writing in an ES game
I agree with that. Even the best games have not narratively matched up to literature yet. But, not my question. What I asked was about comparing within these three games that you ranked. You haven't actually said what you specifically liked or disliked about any of them.

Attack rolls
Oh I do see you mentioned this. And i's a fair criticism, because it starts off so harsh right at the beginning of the game. But this is something that becomes a non concern within the first couple hours of playing. Just have to level and train a bit. Now the game doesn't tell you that, so unless you put that bit of investment in, it can feel like "Well this just sucks fuck this". But it's worth it once you get through that. Because honestly, the combat is there in Morrowind, but the real reason to play are the stories and the roleplaying choices. If you like those things, you really need to give it a shot.

If Morrowind came out today everyone in this topic would hate it
I played it for the first time in 2017 (unmodded) and it's like my favorite game ever.

The only thing I hated about Oblivion was that the enemies leveled up with you so you never felt a sense of getting stronger. Other than that it's better than Skyrim in terms of being an actual rpg.

Yeah, the levelling isn't great. I like that Morrowind keeps it to a minimum. I think the main things that are levelled in MW are overworld spawns (e.g. rats below level 20 and Clannfear at and above 20) and dungeon chests. Hand-placed loot is plentiful, which is one of my favorite things about the game.

Skyrim is somewhere in between. It has levelling, but is less extreme with it, except possibly with loot.

Skyrim does it best imo. Enemies just have different types of levels rather than leveling with you

Morrowind is the only Elder Scrolls game that can genuinely be called good. I've been playing it regularly since release, I only use fan made bug fixes and the delay Dark Brotherhood attack mod.
