I've heard some people say they've tasted pet food before, but that sounds gross to me. Have you ever tasted any? If so, what kind was it?

I've tried dry dog food and dry cat food, each once in my youth. Both were unpleasant enough that I wasn't curious enough to try any other kinds. Don't remember brand or flavor or anything.

My sister fed me beggin strips once when I was little. Wasn't terrible.

When I was around 3 or 4 IIRC, my dad, probably joking, asked me to try a dog biscuit. Always eager and dauntless as I was, I accepted without hesitation and I thought it was pretty good, and even went back for more. I was too young at the time to understand that there was a divide between between pet food and people food. As far as I was concerned, they were just big cookies.

Yes. I don't feed my dog anything I wouldn't be willing to eat myself.

I'd be willing to bet everyone in this topic has tried something that, at least, tastes like dog food.

Chic-fil-a's signature sauce tastes exactly like Beggin Strips.

No, but I ate some dog food--flavored jellybeans once, and they were pretty bad. (It was that gimmick where some were chocolate and some were dog food, and they looked exactly the same.)

At pet stores they have (or at least used to have) something similar to a generic candy display at grocery stores where you grab a plastic baggie and put the candy in there yourself except this is pet food obviously

They had what looked like oreos so I tried one and it didn't really have any taste at all

Yes, I tried some cat food as a child.

It was dry, bitter and gross.

I accidently bit a dog treat instead of the cookie I had in my other hand as a very young child. It was terrible.

The flake kind of fish food when i was younger. It wasnt awful.

I eat some of my horse's treats all the time. Meadow Mints are actually pretty good (and not at all minty). DuMor Gourmet Gold cookies taste like Cracklin' Oat Bran cereal (they're supposed to taste like apple, but I can't taste it). Nutrigood Senior Snax are very easy to chew and taste like licorice (also supposed to be apple flavored).

Horse treats never taste like the thing the manufacturer claims they taste like.

I have had dog food and some dog treats. Honestly, they don't taste bad, just bland. Like they have no taste or have very little.

I have also tried bird seed, pretty much tastes how you would imagine.
