I think it's one of my favorite games now it was amazing both times. Everything from the story to combat was top notch

Yeah I swapped around a bit through the story since certain skills and some stats carry over. Currently working on maxing everything for the super final dungeon

Yeah, hunting Invested Vagabonds was where I tapped out halfway to getting all my jobs to lvl 99. It just became a ridiculous chore.

I ended up going ng+ just to get doubles of the job class items that only had one.

I get the thought process, but now you're just trading a portion of the tedium of vagabond hunting with playing the entire story all over again and frankly the exposition slogs to ch6 and ch 12 are just painful.

And even then you're going to spend 30 hours running from the 2 meat gates from the entrance to the vagabond and back and the only advantage in ng+ duplicates is that 30 hours could have been 60 had you just done it on the main file.

Almost makes SMT:N Lucifer grinding look trivial by comparison.

Don't get me wrong, I really liked LaD, but the grind for the totally for real we're serious this time final dungeon is obnoxious on a Disgaea Baal Prinny level. Hell Wyrm/Yiazmat tier.

It's not difficult as such, just mind numbingly tedious.

The yakuza games, as much as I love them are completionist hells. Give me mobs to punch, I might entertain going for the full 100%...

But you want me to learn to play Shogi, Mahjong, do all the western casino games, all the eastern gambling games, wade thru the minigame hells of darts, claw machines, pachinko, and the arcade titles, bowling, pool, the dating sims, AND the rhythm game levels of hell for the sexy shit and karaoke, the batting cages, ping pong, tower defence, and whatever unique minigames are bound to any given yakuza title, sometimes several times over for hostesses or Haruka's trust?

I'll do story, as many side stories as I can, and whatever mcguffin collection there is, but 100%ing any yakuza title is just a bridge too far for me.

I love the series for what it is. There's many something's for everyone. But the scope of any of them is insane to try and hundo across like 9 or 10 titles.

I'm neck deep in Y4 right now. Every new character I hate with a passion at the beginning of their arc, and love to death by the time I hit a new character story.

I'm still not going to even pretend that I'm going to do all the things I less any single title is the only game I can play between now and the heat death of the universe.

I'm a huge fan of the series, but doing everything is insanity.
