Im not referring to how fans rallied to make such a cut possible, which should be considered cinema history. What Im referring to is that it was his daughters favorite song before her suicide and that is why he used it. And it fits in with the allegory behind his films too. My theory is that the movies were his attempt to rationalize belief in God to his daughter who was depressed.
