if you really want to be hyped, the pilot episode is actually a crossover event with SVU

and they've said that it won't be the last time they crossover, so Benson/Stabler is probably a thing that will happen a few times a season until they leave their respective shows

I need to catch up on SVU then! I'm a year or so behind, wasn't really feeling the season at the time (SVU itself has been on a mostly downward slope for a while). I would hope they would be smart enough to make a return of Stabler crossover something that's self contained and not super relevant to some ongoing SVU story either way.
