I don't and then I text or call back later saying I was occupied with family or some other generic excuse. If I'm not management I don't have an obligation to go in on short notice on a day off.

I would often ignore my manager's calls on days off because I was worried they'd try and ask me to come in.

And if I was feeling generous that day I would text back something like:

My Work Never bothers calling asking me to cover someone else because, they no that I am always going to say No.

This happened to me yesterday and I literally texted back and said Id come in (just since its overtime pay) but I wouldnt be in until about 3 hours after we opened. If they need you then its really gonna be on your terms is the way I see it

Yeah; if I'm free I go. It's overtime pay, plus they'd only call if it's urgent and I'd want to help with that.
