There's literally no other character that can do what he does at the level he does it.

It's not like "omg Ganyu is broken as shit as a DPS" because, at the end of the day, power creep and min-maxing will always let you have multiple options for DPS, tanking, healing, etc.

But there is literally no other option for what Venti does. Venti isn't just crowd control or energy generation, he literally turns every character's attack into an AoE. He facilitates elemental reactions that are essentially unfeasible without him.

There are far better DPS than Venti
There are far better energy generators than Venti
There are crowd controllers on-par with Venti

But literally nobody else can do all of those simultaneously while also causing every element to mix together into a witches' brew of death

He's the best character in the game by a -huge- margin.

I mean it makes sense because he is the Anemo Archon

Same reason I'm now saving up for the Zhongli rerun and then Raiden Shogun after that. The Archons are probably all going to be way better than the other units

Too bad he's glorified DLC like all the other "unlockables" in the game. Give me the 5 starters and I'm fine.

He was literally my third draw from the banner.

I don't pay for draws. The only things for which I spend money are the battle passes (sometimes) and the Welkin Moon blessings (which are by far the best value).

I have a blanket policy of not paying for gambling mechanics. It's just not smart.

Nice, last gacha game I was playing I was actually having amazing luck with but I ended up dropping it. Might go back. Two times I got a two of the highest level units in ten pulls

Holy crap, I just ran the dungeon that drops Viridescent Venerer (Venti's set) and got four properly-specced pieces of it in two runs, three of which were 5-star quality.

I got the dude less than a week ago and he's already got perfect gear, the best weapon in the game for him (Stringless, at Refinement 4) and Lv. 80 with all his talents at Lv. 7.

It took me since October to get any other character anywhere near that.

Well....

1. Not really. Venti prefers crit Dmg and crit rate. His natural energy regen is so good you don't need any additional.
2. Elemental mastery is the worst scaling stat on Anemo reactions. Sucrose is a strange exception. No other Anemo character wants EM.
3. Attack as a main stat is good, but after leveling to +18 looks like all you got was a bunch of +def% for your trouble

Gonna have to stop you right there and say EM is absolutely baller on Venti specifically because of how his tornado of death works

EM doesn't do anything special for his tornado of death. The only thing it does is increase specifically swirl Damage and does so at a rate lower than attack & crit.

It is literally his best stat. Literally. Especially in tandem with Viridescent.

Think about it - 60% more Swirl damage PLUS -40% resistance to the element it's infused with.

That makes Klee and Mona OHKO virtually anything in it.

Unless you're just thinking about a character going solo.
