Its been awhile maybe 30 especially if you do all the side quests. I just found the concept neat. You need to feed/kill people to grow stronger but that affects the story as its about moral choices. Plus the more people you kill off in a area the more quickly thr flu spreads in that area and even more some people will end up being turned into enemy vampires or other monsters. Basically the spread of vampirism was being masked by the epidemic. People just assumed those who became vampires had the flu and shunned them by default.
