Mundane and minor things padded to extreme lengths. How far can you take it?

Why would I need to lie on my CV when the truth does fine

I hack and slash my resume so it fits on one page. Absolutely no need to pad it out

Some places want you to pad, some dont. My boss likes padding and so did my previous, each with a CV of 100 pages or more. I like seeing one page resumes. Yes CVs and resumes are different, but youre typically only submitting one of them. Reddit will critique your resume for free.

Getting a job is a crapshoot and you might get turned down for silly reasons, its best to just be yourself and see where you fit in...but also be as inoffensive and traditional as possible.

What if instead of padding you just trim your resume to such a level that it looks like the dossier of an assassin?

My resume, without a cover page, fills two pages with ease. Of course, the current job I'm at didn't even look at it and spent less time deciding to hire me than I'd spent last updating said resume.

This is one of my old resumes from last year. It's more or less the same, just more languages and skills on the right, and I took out the Spectrum part and expanded on everything else.

I use this resume template but customized sections. I've expanded it to two pages because of how negatively people in my field almost universally react to one page resumes. But...also I did really well with my one page resume because I have good experience and places are desperate to hire people. More jobs than people looking for them.

Medical physics. The role isn't super well defined but generally we're hired then find a way to be useful in making radiation cancer clinics safe, flow, and grow without pissing too many people off. It's one of the two ABMS-certified medical specialties that don't require medical school. Interesting material when learning it, repetitive when practicing, tend to be generally disliked by their coworkers and I can't really blame them.
