Nope, I get a call from my mom and aunt telling me off for supposedly putting myself and baby at risk, how Im being dumb and that I should wait until after Im done nursing. That who cares if she gets antibodies and its no big deal if my daughter caught covid because it doesnt do anything to infants anyway.
Nope, they're the dumb ones.

Congratulations on getting the shot (and the baby of course)!

I've seen firsthand the disagreements and tension that can come from overly involved parents during pregnancy/ birth between my sister and father when my nephew came along five years ago. It's definitely less frequent and intense now, largely in part of to the two of them managing to catch themselves more before speaking/ texting.
Thank you! Yeah my mom and brother/SIL also had a shit ton of arguments about my nieces when they were born. My mom has no filter and cant help herself. I told her if I was her daughter in law, I would want to stay away. Shes always complaining about their parenting. Like yeah I agree with some stuff. They can be irresponsible parents about things, but its not her business to tell them how to do things unsolicited. And she will criticize dumb stuff too. Like what the kids wear. Like who cares if their outfits arent cute to you? Theyre kids.

I invited her to stay with me the first few weeks after our baby is born and Im really hoping we wont fight the whole time. Ive been nervous about it. But every single mom I spoke to said I will regret it if I dont because the first few weeks are so hard. So here we are.
