Who's getting in?










Each day I'll select 10 random characters from the Nintendo wiki (using https://nintendo.fandom.com/wiki/Special:Random ), and whichever gets the most votes gets a slot on B8's Smash Bros. roster
  • Special exception: If the random page lands me on an obscure game that doesn't have a page for its characters, I'll just take the main character from that (or the closest thing I can find to a main character).
  • Special exception #2: Sometimes RNG wants something that's not a character to be in the poll, and if that happens, so be it.
  • Special condition #3: In the case of a tie, both characters will get in but the 2nd character will be an echo of the first.

Yesterday had joke options like Ben 10 and Sweater Mario attempt to dip a toe, but were shut down immediately by Prof. Layton dominance.

Today on deck we have a MASSIVE battle between Best New Character 2020 runner-up Zagreus, an ARMS clown, a historical figure, a helicopter, Spongebob (returning after a loss earlier in the contest, but representing a different game this time!), a Fire Emblemer, a representative of the continuously snubbed Golden Sun, a giant dragon, and both the iconic trainer and a popular Pokemon from Gen 3.

for what it's worth, you're voting more for the character than the picture; I often just take the picture from the Nintendo wiki unless it's not good

In general yeah, but in the hypothetical scenario that this is actually Smash Bros DLC, they would of course use the character's most recent design unless explicitly stated otherwise.
