gonna be a weird answer but a comfy high quality air mattress can be found for less than $100

i slept on one for nearly a year and it was some of the best sleep Ive ever had

Oh. I forget that you're all a bunch of normies that sleep on King/Queen sized beds with your significant other. Of course a mattress is going to cost you $400-$800 if you're getting that size!

I've been looking for a solid hybrid one from Walmart myself in the $200-$300 range. I need from a place where it's easy to return since I need a few weeks with a mattress to know.

Amazon has a lot of gel memory foam 10 to 12 inch mattresses for under $200, I slept on one for a while when I was traveling back and forth from my house to the wife's grandparents. It's serviceable, and a better option over an air mattress for a still reasonable price. They get shipped in a box and just need a few hours to re-shape.
