probably the former, though i'm sure a lot of them would love to force through the latter. though, iirc one of the adjacent states did just allow medical peeps "personal reasons" objections to everything but emergency care.

It's the first but they can't get it at ALL.

Like under this law a doctor can't prescribe puberty blockers to a 10-12 year old trans kid for the purpose of making transitioning easier in the future.

And of course, the mandatory reporting part. Teacher overhears that a student might be questioning? They're now required to report it to the kid's parents.

It would bar any state funds for gender-affirming health care for transgender people under 18, and it would allow private insurers to refuse to cover gender-affirming care for people of any age. "

By the way, yes, this is entirely the result of fucks who think it's okay to entertain banning transgender athletes from competing with their gender. Without you "just letting the facts be discussed" they'd not have been able to get as much ground as they did to feel comfortable pushing this shit forward as boldly as they did.

Never ever give an inch if you care about minorities.
