I work with special needs and my kid needs VERY intensive support and shes trying to get him a retail job which I know he is absolutely not ready for. He had one phone interview and botched every question, but she lied and told his parents he did great on it and that we're expecting to hear back. I asked her to do a mock interview with him and she said "great idea! we can have [another staff of my level] do it with him". I asked her because this is her expertise.

Another coworker is in the same position of trying to get her kid a retail job, except she lies on the application process and says her student has a diploma (does not), is available full time (is not), and uses her personal cell number as the contact. I'm doing everything honestly. Honest availability, having him answer the survey questions (after I condense their meaning as simply as I can), honest diploma report (he doesn't have one), using his cell number. I have him fill out the apps and let him know things like if he's in the military. He was about to put himself as female because he does not know what a male or female means.

We had another interview today that my supervisor was supposed to be here for, but she got her 2nd Moderna vaccine and (apparently) couldn't come in today from side effects. So she said that my coworker could sit in on the call and set it up. I'm just like, wow she 1) didn't think to divert it to tomorrow when she would be here, and 2) put another coworker of mine to supervise the process.

I know that you can lie/exaggerate for interviews, but I feel uncomfortable lying on someone else's behalf, especially someone I'm responsible for. Feels like I'm setting him up for failure. We're just jumping super far ahead of his development and it seems like for no reason other than to put on paper that he has a job.
