I just beat the game. Feels short. How is RE 2 4 and 7 in terms of storyline time?

Re2make takes maybe 8 hours on the first play through. And way less on subsequent plays.

DMC5 went on sale. Had I waited like 4 days I would have saved $6! I'm gonna play DH mode tonight.

Remake 2 has 4 scenarios though they are all pretty similar. A scenario is maybe 6-8hours and 3-4hours for B scenario to complete the storyline. 7 is similar, maybe 6-8hours. 4 is shockingly long for the type of game it is at around 15-20hours on average. if youre also asking about REmake 1 that can vary pretty wildly due to the type of game it is, but overall 10-15hours usually. REmake 3 is disgustingly short at around 4-5hours.

7 is probably the longest, 3 is easily the shortest.
7 and 2 are absolutely both must plays. 3 is good, but it's main issue is that it has to be compared to the near perfect 2.

For $35 bucks I'm glad I didn't pay over $50 for DMC5. I'm trying to stick with under $25 for storyline games.

2 and 4 it just comes down to what you want more of. 2 is more slower paced, bigger emphasis on item management, backtracking and more horror-esque. 4 is more action focused with a grander scope, not quite as modern obviously in terms of systems or feel, but both do what they are going for very well.

I've watched a friend play 2 back in the day on PS. Lots of collecting and stuff. Storyline wise does it matter if I play 4 before 2 then 7? 2 iirc is the most expensive right now due to remake.

theres some story/character stuff here and there that may lose its charm if you didnt play 2, but overall they are pretty stand alone.

I can get all 3 games for $46. I'll probably do that. Should last me until summer.

I'll start with playing 2 next week. I wanna do another run with DMC5.

5 hours for RE3make is pushing it. The game is ridiculously short. Most people will clock in at about 3 hours on their first run. Play it again and you're probably down to 90 minutes.

i tend to be a bit skeptical when it comes to reported play times just cause i like to really take my time with games, but yeah 3 is really short. i played on hard doing literally everything i possibly could and still clocked in at 4.5hours. in contrast one scenario in 2 doing everything was around 7hours on normal and then you had the other scenario to go after afterwards (ontop of the extra game modes). outside of some basic unlockables there wasnt really much else to 3.

2 (and REmake 1) also has the benefit of the randomizer mod on pc which i easily soaked up 150hours with. the maker of the mod never supported 3 because of its more linear structure.

Yeah first run I take my time. I stretch it out.

Is RE7 VR? One I'm dling says VR and I don't have the headset.

I gave in and played the first 10 mins or so of RE2. Love the graphics. Can't wait to play it later along with the other 2 games.
