I've had classmates who weren't allowed to speak or mingle with the opposite gender due to overly religious parents. Why else do all-boys and all-girls schools still exist?

The counter to that is that this is not the case. I grew up JW and I was the only who had the guts to up and leave in my teens. Anyone else who left did so in their 20's.
The rest just married some gross chicks and had ugly kids the world didn't need.
