An artist followed me earlier, and they have pics of these keychains they made that I really want. I want to see if it's possible to buy from them. Does this make sense, or should I change anything? I don't want it to come off as rude either

I guess, but I'd just try for English first since that'd make the transaction so much easier instead of relying on Google Translate. You could always send the Japanese message too if they don't respond to the English one, or just send them both at the same time.

I read Japanese at an ok level, but I can't really proofread sentences as that is a job for a native speaker or someone more advanced than than me.

That being said your sentence is understandable and the person you are trying to message will very likely know what you are trying to convey, and if they know you're a foreigner they probably won't think badly at all of your attempt.

One part that did jump out as weird to me is the as I don't see used like this.
oh thank you for the feedback!! I'll remove the if it's strange there

Just use instead of , the whole thing does come off as unnatural, but they'll know what you're trying to say. It's not a big deal to try to trick people into thinking you're a native speaker. Just go for it.

Thanks, I sent it with that particle change. As long as they can understand what I'm asking and it's not horribly rude, im happy
