Yes. A kiss is meaningless unless you both but meaning to it.
For example that football player kiss his kids on the lips.
In some countries friends of opposite sex kiss on the lips and it is non-sexual.

But if you and the other person did a mask embrace with intent to portray feelings, it was a kiss.
