Now that my age group are eligible a lot of my high school and college friends has been posting their cards on Instagram and Facebook. However I noticed a lot of them had their thumbs covering their names and birthday.
I understand it is best to keep that stuff confidential from the internet but is knowing a person's name and birthday really the end of the world? --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yes it is, ever heard of identity stealing and doxing? A name and date of birth makes it really easy to find someone

Every bit of personal information adds up. Best not to give identity thieves easy pieces of the puzzle.

If you block out the name and any identifying numbers, it should be fine.
However if you block that out you might as well be holding up a blank notecard. Just take a photo of the 'I got the shot!' sticker that you hopefully get. --- Welcome home, shed your skin and expose your bones.
