Yeah the second one is far fucking worse since it has more super armor enemies

Though from wha I remember they threw shields at you constantly so you had a good supply plus I think there's a merchant in each level for arrows/bolts so you can restock

I think most people didn't really get it was going for a 'use fuckign everything', except the lightning since it's not rechargable in the PS1 version

You sort of blindly swing it around. There's no targeting for melee, and you can defend, but the shields are just unequippable items that break way too easily. Your health also depletes pretty rapidly, and there are no checkpoints.

By blindly do you mean in front of you?
Basic swinging of weapons in front of you?

Yeah, you need something easier. Just play OoT so the game will just let you z lock everything and its really easy. Youll love it.

Like I figured the point of a remake was to fix its issues and add some QOL improvements. There's none of that.

I actually played it earlier this year and never played more than the demo of the original. I loved it. I don't know how it looked before, but the enemies were pretty awesome and varied. The weapons were fun to use too imo. I didn't really have any complaints cause I went in already knowing it was gonna feel like older mechanics. Sure stuff was way more janky, but it also felt refreshing to not have all the semi boring fluff of realism. I'm just tired if all the running from place to place with modern games. It takes me out the flow of combat. By the time I run over to the next thing to do, I realize I was on autopilot while my mind drifted 100 miles away.
