Calling someone transgendered just makes them sound less than human, which is something you want to avoid. Trans or transgender man/woman/person is the correct way to refer to a trans person

(though if being trans doesnt really pertain to a given situation, youd likely want to use man, woman, or person, instead, in the same way itd be considered a bit racist to label someones race in any instance where it holds no relevance. Transgender people are no different than cisgender people, and should be treated with the same level of dignity and respect as anyone else.)

Hey be careful, calling someone something could be taken as being sarcastic, and thus intended as an insult, meaning it's flaming and you'll get a warning even on a clean warning.

It's fine. I don't see why sports in general are seen as like the last bastion of trans equality. There are spaces where their status as trans matters and places where it doesn't matter. Competitive sports leagues are one such place where it matters.

trangendered isnt a real word, and also, as I mentioned before, its a common transphobic dogwhistle and should be avoided if youre trying to appear genuine in any debate.

You should use transwoman/ciswoman in this instance, considering any transwoman on a stable hormone treatment is biochemically nearly identical to a ciswoman anyway, but I wasnt really trying to critique you on that; I just thought it was worth mentioning for background knowledge.

Sorry kids (and bound adults) you are not to play sports at all if you don't follow traditional gender conventions.

People are not "pretending" to be female just to dominate in women's sports. All this will do is make life worse for a tiny percentage of people less then two percent of the total population. This is just needlessly cruel.

One aspect of the whole thing that confuses me is that there are people that are like, "I'm trans, my body and hormones are going to be different than a cisgender person for a variety reasons, well... time to go into professional sports!!"

I don't get it. If I was trans that's the last thing I'd want to do. :v Why put the focus back on your body???

You're one individual. I propose we make it so you can be discriminated against by any jobs, businesses, medical personnel, a total ban from competing with other people in sports of any kind, and so on seeing as that's what transgender people are facing. You're just a single person and 1 person is waaaaay less than 2% of the popular so it doesn't hurt anyone.

Fwiw though, 2% of 300 million is 6 million. Now, if memory serves, I do recall there being a huge historical event in Europe where 6 million people were killed.

What I'm saying is, justifying bullshit with it being a small number is pretty fucking ghastly. Don't ever say that 2% isn't a big deal.

I'd genuinely love to see a man transition into a woman with the sole intention of having weaker competition. That would be awesome and honestly a smart move career and finance wise. And then see SJWs flip flop between advocacy while also turning a blind eye as to what's happening. Especially if this ends up dominating women's sports. I hope no cis woman gets a scholarship or attention and I genuinely hope trans women dominate the sport.

It'd be even better if eventually gender fluid counts as women's sports, that way a guy could be a guy in his normal life and a girl only when he's competing.

I also don't think legislators or coaches should decide, let the female athletes decide.

That's why I made my point. You're trying to play up some ultra-scientific contextualization for the separation of the genders in sports and I'm telling you it was entirely arbitrary.

You're making an appeal to a scientific history that doesn't exist for the sake of making an argument about transwomen. You don't get to move the goalposts and just assume this is how it's happening now, particularly not without proof.

ITP trans women are not women and there are millions of them waiting in the wings to replace all women in sports.

Also, haven't there been tons of actual people in the women's sports industry that have come out in support of trans women? Or are they just so desperate for Internet points that they will put their bodies at risk and lose their entire livelihood to look woke?

Sports are meant to be competitive. We have weight classes and leagues. If X-Men were real, there would be a human league and a superhero league.

Trans women have the strength of men. No amount of estrogen is going to take that away from them. It's unfair to cis women that they be placed in competition with women of greater strength.

If trans athletes are allowed to compete against cis athletes, we're going to reach a point at which every champion is one who was born with a penis.

I'm all in favor of trans rights, but there's a limit to how progressive I'm willing to be. You can't cater to a small minority at the expense of everyone else. That's not how it works.
