It happened at a Pier 1 store where a judge ordered her to pay a $500 fine with 6 months probation and a month in jail as well as participating in a mental health evaluation with anger mangement treatment too!! She was ordered to pay the victim's COVID-19 cost for a test and was only given 1 day already served time for jail. She was recorded deliberately coughing on another customer in an argument while giving her the finger because she was recording her. The victim, Heather Sprague begun recordin gher when she was in a heated argument with employees over an item return as well as not wearing a mask Hunter saw her and made a rude gesture beofre walking up and saying "How about i get close to you and cough on you" Sprague who is being treated with a brain tumour said she spent days anxiously searching for a place where she and her family could be tested for covid-19 which ended up being engative Hunter's husband said his wife faced huardships leading up to the incident including losing everything in a fire and said she was at her breaking point when she flipped out Hunter says she has paid for her mistakes after losing her friends and job and now she and her kids never go out in their community anymore She said "I watch as my kids lower their head sand turn the opposite direction so they wont' be recognized or approached and i know exactly what they're feeling because i dot he same thing". The judge added Hunter created this problem, not her family and she will have to live with the consequences adding she has yet to see any expression or regret in her statement today while handing down the sentence. Actually, kidding aside (which i rarely do), i do think that intentionally coughing on a person should be assault at this point. In fact, if it can be proved that you knew you had covid at the time (through a test etc) I would increase that to assault with a deadly weapon. Death by shooting in the US last year hit a pretty much all time high of 20k....which seems like alot. But deaths by COVID last year hit 564k So yeah, which is the deadlier weapon, a gun, or a cough.
