For a total newb to crypto investing, I previously invested in Dogecoin, and I'm holding there and fluctuating about 2x-3x what I've put into Doge so far. I'm 100% in the black for that one. I'm still a newb to all this, so none of this is financial advice obviously.

I bought 73 Cardano since I heard good things about it, but I noticed it was at an all time high as a lot of alt coins are. I heard a bit about ECOMI aka OMI, which was still under the 1 cent point. The practical uses for this coin sound pretty amazing, and they already have partnerships with companies like Warner Bros. Their head of licensing is also someone who is hugely responsible for the success of Pokemon, Yugioh, Ninja Turtles, and on and on:

In a new video, Armstrong shines a spotlight on Ecomi (OMI), a project that he believes will grow immensely as demand surges for NFTs the unique assets that use crypto technology to essentially provide certificates of ownership in digital and real-world items such as art, virtual land, tickets or even tweets.

OMI is the native token for NFT collectibles platform VeVe, which has locked in impressive partnerships with some big-name brands, including Warner Bros., Capcom, and DC. Armstrong notes that Ecomis global head of licensing Alfred R. Kahn is a titan of the licensing Industry, able to gain the rights to coveted digital merchandise.

Kahns properties are responsible for more than $25 billion in retail revenue. Kahn was the founder chairman and CEO of 4Kids Entertainment from 1991 until 2011. He is recognized as an industry leader and licensing behemoth. His company 4kids entertainment was responsible for some of the biggest names including Pokemon, YuGiOh, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Cabbage Patch Kids, and of course ol Polly Pockets.

Kahn also helped with branding and licensing of Nintendo, Mario Bros, Zelda, Donkey Kong, James Bond, and World Wrestling Federation.

Armstrong says that while Ecomi hasnt announced a formal partnership with those brands as of yet, with Kahn in charge of licensing, its likely not that far away

Also, people like Mark Cuban and Kevin Smith are pushing NFTs hard. I don't fully understand the tech and what it can do, but I've been reading a bit more on it. Apparently, you can create digital art that is both 3D and interactive via augmented reality:

I know this is probably old for a lot of you, but it's still pretty new to me lol. Anyway, I now have 52,807.16 OMI coins, and I got them for about .0078 per coin. If this really takes off in the next 3-5 years, I might be retiring not too long after lol. I put a little over $400 into this, but it's $400.00 I don't need at the moment. Thus, I won't panic too much if it takes a huge dip. I plan to hold this one long term.

It's also been a cool learning experience from me since this was not as intuitive and easy to do as using Robinhood or Coinbase. The whole process of buying Bitcoin, converting Bitcoin back into dollars on another site, and then using those dollars to buy OMI on that other site was really bizarre and interesting. I understand how to buy it now.

I heard I should move these into a wallet? Is Coinbase a wallet? What're the best/most secure wallets?

I bought some more OMI for a grand total of 92,175 OMI coins. As long as this stays under 1 cent, I'm going to try to make it to at least 100,000 OMI coins and sit on it forever.
