Do you think Netflix can be a strong challenger against PSNow and Gamepass?
Vote
When asked by a moderator to co-CEO Reed Hastings on the move, he asid "In ways, we're kind of in gaming now with Bandersnatch and we have some very basic interactive things" But it was Greg Peters, COO and Chief Product Officer who added more smoke to the fire with a smile on his face on entering the video game business. He said "We're in the business of creating these amazing, deep universes and compelling characters and people come ot lose those universes and want to immerse themselves more deeply and get to know the characters better. We're trying to figure out all of the different ways that we can increase those points of connection and deepen that fandom and certainly games is a really interesting component of that." The company is set to spend 17 billion on content in 2021 as CFO, Spencer Newmann added they dabbled in games and has launched games around shows such as Stranger Things They claim they don't want to compete directly with Sony and Microsoft in their gaming services of GamePass and PSNow but that could change if the company decides to go all out by having popular gaming publishers for an online gaming service to make games exclusively for Netflix. The company has had years of experience with subscription based services and it would be an easy task for the company to enter the gaming business Do you think Netflix could challenge Microsoft and Sony if they enter the gaming world? https://i.imgur.com/nrpnCpY.jpg --- The Users have Spoken. I could see it going the way of EA Play or maybe even being another launcher like Origin, Epic Game Store, Steam, Battle.net, uPlay, etc, which I'm not looking forward to.

If they just straight up buy Steam or GOG, or maybe Epic (not sure if that's even possible, depends how much richer Netflix is than any of them) and just keep on keepin' on, they could probably do fine. That's the American Way after all. Don't invent or innovate, just gobble up the company that did the work already. ... Copied to Clipboard!

If it's either of these, it'll fail hard. I feel like it would have to be one of those two. I don't see steam selling, tbh...
