Long story short-
theres construction on our street, Road is closed today while they get some beams dropped.

we are the last driveway before the road closure, so everyone and their mom is using our driveway to turn around.

apparently up to like 2-3 cars at a time.

we have 2 dogs and theyre going nuts every fucking time.

can I put dumpsters at the end of the driveway, to stop people from pulling in?

it wouldnt be blocking the roadway, or sidewalk.

The last three feet or so before the street is almost certainly a city/utility easement. Keep that in mind.

You should place a no trespassing and private property sign then put it near the end of the driveway. Hopefully that will deter people from using your driveway

If the side-road is before your driveway, ask the workmen to move the barriers while leaving you room to get around.

Do you mean that little space just between the sidewalk and the street? I guess since it's neither street nor sidewalk it should be OK, but I don't know, since it's separated from the rest of your driveway by the sidewalk.

I'm pretty sure the city owns the easement about 3-5 feet from the street.
But I don't see you getting any shit for putting your garbage barrels there.
If anything I would turn them around so it looks like they are ready to get picked up.

Sounds like you need to call the city or county as the week this goes on you personally might have problems if today is any indication.

It's also technically illegal for your cans to be out like a day and a half before pick up. A neighbor would have to call on you though and then someone come out to cite you. I've never seen it actually happen though.

There's a lady that cruises around the neighborhood looking for it and posts it on the community message board to shame people. Then she gets angry that the police don't actually do anything. It's not like they're always out or the same person. Sometimes they're out a day early or the person brings them in the morning after garbage day.
