As someone who works in auto insurance, if you are a not so great driver or bad driver go with a big company like State farm, Progressive or someone else with national televised commercials.
If you are a good driver it's in your best interest to go with an up and coming insurance company that doesn't have commercials yet. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Little things.
Speak clearly and respectfully. Dont mumble your answers to questions. Stand when your more important superiors enter the room, especially to speak to you. Dont be the slob leaning back in your chair when your boss comes by to ask about your work. Keep uniform looking good, especially your boots/shoes shined. It shows that you care and take time for details. Carry a binder/folder/whatever with you and walk with purpose, even if you arent actually busy. People are less likely to bother you if you look like you're in the middle of doing something important. Be seen looking like you actually give a shit, even if you really don't. Appearances matter. Follow up is important. If your superior asks you a question, don't just say "I don't know". Say "I don't have that information at this time, but I'll find out and get back to you." And then actually get back to them with it at your earliest opportunity, preferably the next time you see them that day. ... Copied to Clipboard!
