Board 8 > Woman has had a FELONY for 20 YEARS cause she Stole SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH!!.

Caron McBride, a former Oklahoma resident has just found out she has had a FELONY on her record for 20 YEARS because she FAILED to return a VHS rented tape of SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH!!

It was rented from The Movie Place in Norman in 1999 and she assumed it was rented by a roommate at the time. But when it never returned it was her that was charged with felony embezzlement of rented property in March 2000.

The rental store closed in 2008 but the charged remained.

She said she only learned of it last year when she got married in Texas and tried changing her name

She now fears the charge has been secretly plaguing her for years and could be why she missed out on job opportunities

Caron said "I went to change my driver's license, during this COVID thing you had to make an appoint and so i sent them an email and they sent me an email and they told me that i had an issue in Oklahoma and this was the reference number for me to call this number and i did"

It was then she learned from a Cleveland District Office that told her she had a felony embezzlement charge and it nearly gave her a HEART ATTACK

They said it was over a VHS tape and they had to repeat it over just to say tell her again cause she couldn't believe and said "this is insane. This girl is kidding me, right? but no she wasn't kidding"

The blame was laid squarely on her roommate of hers who had 2 daughters who rented it for them and said she lived with a "young man" over 20 years ago who had daughters 8, 10 and 1 and think he got it for them.

Caron says "I have never watched that show in my entire life, just not my cup of tea. I'm not into that feel good kid stuff. Meanwhile, i'm a wanted felon for a VHS tape"...

But that charge was dismissed by the DA's office who reviewed it and Ed Blau with the Blau Law Firm said she needs to have this expunged to clear her record.

McBride says she's been let go by several jobs before and thinks this may have done her in after running a criminal background check when they see the word "felony embezzlement"

While mispronouncing the name of the popular tv series that had 7 successful seasons, 4 on ABC and 3 on then The WB, McBride says "I mean, i didn't try to deceive anyone over Samantha the Teenage Witch but thiss how caused me and my family a lot of heartache financially because of the positions i've lost".

A Felony Embezzelement charge carries up to 8 YEARS in prison with up to a 10K fine.
