Just like the title says I feel like I missed out on life thanks to my failures, I am 32 years old yet still lack any A Levels and any degree. I am still in minimum wage job and still single.

I got my health really good, but it is hard to celebrate seeing that many years was wasted. I know I should be happy I havent got sick in nearly 2 years.

I always think if I managed to get all my qualifications during my college and then managed to go to University, then I would have been in a high end job making good money for many years.

My battle with my health problem is over, but those memories and wasted years I cant gain back.

The best advice I can give is start today. Start something better today to drive yourself forward out of your thinking and where you are now. Try achieving what you missed or feel you missed out on. You're still young enough to do it and your health is good. Nothing is stopping you, only you, so take the brakes off and go.

I'm actually in a similar situation. 34 years old, got a not-so-versatile college degree in a branch with little job security, and I've been a security guard for 14 years now.

Like you, I am healthy, with the exception of having very shitty concentration, which hinders me greatly in making career progress or doing thing like getting a driver's license. I'm currently getting psychological help for that, though it takes a very long time to get results.

Your idea of getting more education sounds good. It might be for the best if you pick something you do something you find interesting that has a wide job market. Especially consider stuff that younger people straight out of college/vocational school aren't likely to do.

I recently started doing a course in legal skills. I don't see myself becoming a lawyer or anything like that, but I do like to do work that's associated with integrity.

I am doing subjects that I like, I have some idea what I want to do in the future. The biggest unknown for me is University, I don't know how long University takes to finish or how long it takes to get a degree.

I am trying my best to study, I am doing everything I can to pass it.

Kinda depends on the study and if you're doing well. Also, actively contemplate on what is important. A good job/career? If so, what is 'good' to you? Money/status/fun?
Is getting a university degree essential to your goals?

Try upgrading your interests and meeting people who share them.

Holding onto the past, good or bad, may be why you feel like nothing is moving forward.

Many people have that problem. The best thing to do is work on bettering yourself now. If you're content in the present, there's less regret over any arbitrary events you've missed in the past.

My job is good the only problem is the pay isn't that good, the pay I get wouldn't be enough to get a renting house to live by myself. At the moment I am living with my parents.
Many jobs requires many qualification in what I am looking for and they are interested in degrees, so going to University is required.

wtf, 32 years old and minimum wage? Like, they can't pay you any less than now? Do you have any skills whatsoever or ability to negotiate? Even ex-cons who work in warehouses make like $19/$20 an hour.

What the heck $20 times 8 hours = $160 in one day. In two weeks that job makes more money than I make in an entire month.

That is what it means when one doesn't have degrees in my country or don't have connection with important people, it means working in minimum wage jobs.

Its not all on you. Our generation was predestined to fail. The workforce has been bled dry and wages are down to an unsustainable level considering the unprecedentedly high cost of living.

Pay more + earn less = our generation got screwed over

No sense beating yourself up when its really out of your control. School may be the answer and it may not. It just seems like most people I know with degrees still make $15-20/hr. Our generation was basically promised success and money if we went to college. Turns out we just got debt. Borrow $50k and the bank wants a quarter million back.

I'm talking manual labor from convicted felons, not college graduates. I myself make 6 figures with a meager associates degree I didn't use. You need to negotiate and also look for jobs that aren't minimum wage to begin with. You know how to post on GameFAQs. That tells me you could work for a bank or something answering emails.

I tried in the past to apply to job with better pay, but every time I tried my application was rejected. That is why I decided to get into studying, so I can get qualifications to apply for better jobs.

Every country is different in how difficult it is to get a job and the wages are different.

Edit to work in a bank requires lot of qualifications nowadays.

I just found out I need 3 A Levels to get into University not 2 A Level, that means I need to do another A Level.

That isnt really encouraging since I still need 1 more year for the 2 A Level I am doing.

This is why I wanted to get all the qualifications needed when I was a full time student, but no I have my health being a huge problem.
