The Amethi Police tweeted on Tuesday evening that they have registered a criminal case against a young man who took to Twitter to make an appeal for an oxygen cylinder. Instead of trying to help their citizens, they are arresting them because asking for life saving medical supplies apparently makes them look bad to the rest of the world. Wtf India. India's current problems are because its a fascist country more concerned about its image than anything else. They're willing to lie and deny there are any problems happening, and now they're paying a massive price for those lies. --- Stop asking me if I'm Jessica Simpson. Especially at the height of COVID, when Donald Trump ended lockdown weeks/months before he should have. It is extremely fucked up what's happening in India though. Like no-one ever got arrested for "spreading false rumors" for asking around for medical supplies. India is basically if trump could have his way unchecked..... Unbalanced power, corrupt self serving government officials who help their business friends and hurt their business enemies, corrupt media that caters to the government and literally show fake news.
The crazy part is despite the crazy number of cases its still probably being underreported significantly. Even in America it was suggested that the true covid numbers could've been double the reported numbers since so many people don't test.
