 A Pennsylvania man was arrested last Friday and charged with aggravated cruelty to animals after allegedly shooting his dog and grilling it over a fire pit in his yard.Bucks County prosecutors said Nikolay Lukyanchikov, 48, was still in jail after failing to post bail. Hes also been charged with with discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, reckless endangerment, among other charges, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Police responded to Lukyanchikovs home in Northampton Township around 7 a.m. on Friday after someone reported an open fire on his lawn. Lukyanchikov was found outside the home, on a couch, incredibly intoxicated and unable to speak, according to an affidavit obtained by The Inquirer. Lukyanchikov was also burning $100 bills in the pit and had put a grill grate on top. The small dog was on that grate and was badly burned by the time officers extinguished the flames. The mans roommate told police she had heard what sounded like a gunshot earlier and that Lukyanchikov had told her he shot the dog with his handgun and put its body outside. According to GoErie.com, Pennsylvania enacted new, tougher laws against animal cruelty in 2017.
