The fact that they fled the scene tells me the injuries they sustained were not life threatening. I have seen situations such as this, when youre losing a lot of blood you are not able to walk. They were hiding something and need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. In likelihood they were drunk or had illegal firearms/drugs on them. The people who helped them get to the hospital deserve equal punishment. Something very bad happened here, instead of owning up to their actions and taking responsibility, accomplices helped them evade the law. Scumbags.

I grew up through the Yugoslav wars. Mark my words, they looked the dead passengers in the Kia and ran away. Execute them without remorse if I was the judge. You will not understand the magnitude of this until you witness a monster that can stare a dead person in the eye and not care about them. These monsters do not belong on this earth with us.

Your topic title is worded weirdly... It makes it sound like they were fleeing the police (or something else) when they crashed. But they fled after the crash. Granted, it's not clear how coherent they were when someone drove away with them. But if they make 0 attempts to contact police, that's definitely a felony on top of whatever charges get thrown at them for killing 3 people.

Mercedes Benz vehicles are all extremely heavy at around 4000 lbs. Even the entry level models such as the C class in the video. Most people dont realize how much brutal weight they encompass. Its scary to get into crashes with those vehicles, thats why they cost so much they are extremely safe. I drove an older S class and it was around 5500 lbs. Solid like a tank.

Incorrect. You're allowed to leave the scene if there's a literal medical emergency or if for some other reason it's not safe for you to remain like there's a massive fire.

Oh yeah, these girls are getting away with a reckless driving fine. No jury will be able to convict a felony hit and run beyond a reasonable doubt. No one will be able to prove how conscious/coherent they were when they were taken to the hospital by a third party. Hell, the could even claim they were taken against their will.

The state is fucked here when it comes to charges.

This is part of why I stopped Ubering. Too many close calls where I almost got nailed by some drunk asshole running a stop sign at highway speeds.

There needs to be far harsher punishments for drunk driving. Permanent license suspension would be nice. Need to go somewhere? Fire up the Uber app like you should have the night you were driving drunk.

This is exactly my problem with them fleeing. They thought they would likely hide alcohol/guns/something else. I hope they get their lesson and receive life in jail or death penalty anyway so them fleeing doesnt matter what they were hiding. If they owned up to their actions and stayed at the scene and called 911 themselves to try and help the Kia passengers, if they even showed that they were devastated themselves, I would have mercy on them. But because they made one specific decision, now I view them with zero compassion because theyre not human beings. 3 people looked like they were in the middle of a butchering, and they fucking LEFT them to rot. I cant believe someone above was defending their decision to leave, good god.

That's the thing though. Witnesses said the women were disoriented and had to be carried out of the car as it caught on fire. The last update I saw, was that police were the relationship between the good Samaritan and the Mercedes driver, as that would determine if it was a hit and run.

Either way, as long as they can prove who the driver was, they can still get her with vehicular manslaughter. And if they were notified by the hospital right after the crash, it may still be possible to give a DUI charge. It's happened before when an officer contacted a driver at the hospital and noticed signs of intoxication. That's of course, assuming they were drunk and not just racing.
