I bought something that's ships from and sold by Amazon and is in stock. It had the "prime" check on it. Bought it on 5/5. It's still not shipped! The order details say it'll arrive Monday (5/10). That's 5 days!

The item page right now says if I order today (5/8), it'll be delivered Thursday (5/13). That's also 5 days! Why is Amazon so damn slow now? It used to be like overnight.

It might be that the item was not in stock, or it was in stock in a different warehouse than the one closets to your location. With the pandemic still going on, I always will expect some kind of delay with my orders. A lot of retail stores I work with have been getting a lot of shipping problems because of how much it ramped up.

They're killing us at delivery stations. They just recently started hiring for Prime Week, tho, so hopefully they won't be cracking the whip as hard as they have been after peak.

Why? Is it a lack of employees, or extreme demand?
