A.R.M.A.R. is a fake corporation created by the League for Internet Research who use it for psychological experiments, and in last week's issue it gave another about mind control. Is the first comic an event and if so what is the reason?

S.E.X.: Mind control, and in the last issue it was a device that it attached to her that was able to bypass any concentration inhibiting devices.

Q: Don't we all know they control the minds of every country that they decide?
A: One might say so. The other might say in a previous issue, and that's why they thought so strongly about keeping an assassin out of the hunt.

It's quite apparent the League doesn't want the assassin to find the team, but isn't it also clear that they all have a need to kill the girl who has spied on them for months. Seems like the right time to use her power against them, and save everyone by not killing her.

Q: What are your thoughts on the whole concept of "an honest good man" as how someone plays along the whole way and as a "bad guy" at the end?
A: That's a role that keeps coming up again. You can see that in the use of the "fake woman", the other element is the more limited view on the L.A.R.M.A.R. methods.

The reason I like the "good" and the "bad guy" thing is that it represents an event that is yet to happen, a reminder that though the guy is doing some good and saving a couple girls, that won't be around forever.

What's not to love about an honest good man? In the end he can save them, and even his secret becomes known. The line about this being the end of an era is going to be appreciated.
