Cheap looking touchscreens with early 2000s capable OS.

Its goddamn 2021 and there is absolutely zero creativity with car dashboards.

What do you want them to do? Show your apps and stuff on the windshield instead of a screen? Lol

The dashboard or gauge cluster/displays?
The dashboard can't be reflective/chrome or have pointy/edged bits anymore, because they blind drivers or in some cases potential impalement.

There's really only so much you can do with the displays... I guess they could improve them, but some still struggle to get the basics right. I don't expect to be gaming on a car's display.

Maybe screens in the back for kids, but I'm fucking driving up front.

You clearly havent driven a nice car. I could name 10 cars right now that have huge touch screens and gadgetry everywhere. Most of them not even expensive. Look at a 2017 E300. Thats only $400/month and has 2 dual massive displays.

An entry level Mercedes is just embarrassing to drive though. Everyone who sees you in one knows you can't afford one of the nicer models but are too vain to drive a better equipped car from a "lesser" brand.

The E class is not entry, thats the actual luxury model. C is entry, E is luxury for people that have money, S is flagship meant for CEOs.

No. E is the full size car, the C is the midsize. This has nothing to do with the luxuriousness of the car, just the size segment it's in.

A C63 AMG is going to be nicer than a E300.

I disagree. Ive driven every car in the Mercedes lineup. They use different parts for the C class. Windows and chassis are different, suspension is equal to that of a Honda Accord, sound proofing is not on the level of the E class, etc. they dont have the 2 huge dual screens. Only E and S class offered that. C class had one modest screen in the middle. The particular model you mentioned simply has a V8 motor, nothing else regarding the quality of how the car was built. The C class doesnt even use acoustic laminated windows. Its basically a Honda Accord.

Ok, so you have no idea what you're talking about. The C and E classes are purely just the segment of car it's in (compact, midsize, fullsize, ect..), just like a BMW 3, 5, and 7 series. It's purely the size of the actual vehicle, an optioned C class will always be better than a base model E class, whereas if you option out an E class, it'll be better than the C class. The S class has a higher ceiling for it's upgrade path, and it's ground floor is higher, but saying an E class is automatically "better" than a C class is purely untrue. You talk about suspension and whatnot, but guess what? Those have optional upgrades.

Additionally, the powerplant you select for you car is incredibly important. Having a puny 2l 4 banger is a much less desirable thing to have, and shows you cheaped out on the vehicle vs having a nice turbo v6 or na v8.

If you get a base model, most anemic engined mercedes, you're only buying it for the badge vs spending the money on a more luxurious, well optioned Hyundai Genesis or Cadillac CT line.

This is literally wrong... a fully optioned out C class will not be as smooth over bumps, or have a quiet cabin as a base model E class. It also doesnt come with nice touches such as interior RGB lighting, standard on the E class. Engine means nothing when comfortably traveling on a road trip with your family in the car cruising 55mph for 3 hours.
