As I understand it, the term "motherfucker" is taken literally in the Caribbean, in Spanish or English. It can get you killed.

Here in Australia, calling someone mate the wrong way will send you to hospital, but **** (no-no word for ladyparts) can be considered friendly.

It "literally" means someone who fucks their own mother.

Castilian Spanish has "I shit in the milk." There's also "I shit in ten" that is used as a euphemism for "I shit on God."

There's also "communion wafer" and its euphemism "oysters."

That guys clueless. Don't waste your time.

For those with a brain, do not go anywhere in the Caribbean calling someone a motherfucker and not be prepared to fight. I'm not even from one of those countries and know that. AFAIK I have no relation to anything or anyone in one of those cultures but I learned that in junior high from a mild mannered American-born friend (whose parents are from the D.R.) exploding after being called an "m-effer".

Yadier Molina (born in Puerto Rico) of the St. Louis Cardinals tried to strangle the umpire after being called a "motherfucker". He told the ump "If you call me a motherfucker, you better be ready to fight."

https://stlbaseballweekly.com/he-called-me-a-motherr-molina/

I am aware of at least two other baseball incidents over "motherfucker".

Shitposters aside, I learned "vaffanculo" in Italy. It's translated as go fuck yourself, but an Italian friend said it literally means "go fuck yourself in the ass".

It's actually a portmanteau of a phrase.

Italian doesn't have a proper literal translation of fuck.

The portmanteau is "va" (go) "fa" (do) "culo" (your ass)

A better English translation of the phrase is "get fucked"
