There's quite a bit of stuff in Replicant that wasn't in the original release. The whole deal with the wrecked ship in Seafront is new content from a novella in Grimoire Nier.

Same with Ending E. Replicant largely incorporated that novella but also gives you a bunch of call forwards to Automata as well.

i thought i liked og nier a lot more than i actually did when playing through the remaster, automata is just a better game in every way

Why did Emil have four arms tho

It's funny. Interacting with almost every other character in the story makes more sense for Brother Nier.

Every character EXCEPT Yonah.

Every interaction with Yonah is far better with Papa Nier.

This I agree with. Especially getting all the weapons and stuff, really wish they streamlined that mechanic.

Emil is a good boy and I hope Yoko Taro gives him a..."happy" ending when all said and done.

also what was up with the giant flower, it looked like it appeared over the home village, so was everyone killed? And why was he kid nier at the end? It got way too anime at the end, where the reason things are happening is probably just because. Good game overall but kinda sloppy story telling here and there

IIRC the flower is a Drakenguard thing.

It was actually over the Forest of Myth and is essentially born from the computer housed in the tree.

And why was he kid nier at the end?

I'm gonna go with that's the first Kaine knew him.

Don't forget that ultimately it all doesn't matter because, apart from Emil, no one really "makes it" to Automata anyway.

Yes it's a giant Lunar Tear, but baloney there's no relation to Drakengard. The Flower and the Lunar Tear are too close in design for there not to be a connection, just one that Yoko hasn't quite seized on, yet.
