I actually really do feel sorry for the people who will see this and be like "An unreleased Mega Man port of the classic originals! Awesome!" and they'll spend a bunch of money to get... that.

As a big Mega Man fan, I've never played Wily Wars. What specifically makes it so bad, and do you think the issues with it are things that can be fixed by the vague "Enhanced Gameplay" part of the trailer where they are showing the Yellow Devil fight?

-Looks okay, but some stage backgrounds look worse than NES imo
-Most of the music arrangements are terrible
-In MM1, weapon energy pickups do not respawn when you re-enter a screen which means you can get stuck in the Wily Stages where you have to use Magnet Beam or other items to advance
-they resized Mega Mans sprite, but not Proto Mans, which looks bad
-your shots move across the screen way slower than the original
-Slowdown somehow occurs a lot in places where it didnt in the originals. I assume this is the only thing Enhanced Gameplay fixed
-Other various small things that could be overlooked individually, but add up to become noticeable oversights. For example on the weapon select screen for MM3, Rush is blue instead of red for some reason

Wow that sounds bad
I played like 90% of the Mega Man games but I never played this either, because whenever I do a MM Marathon I play MM 1-3 first and then I don't see the point in playing this
Is it worth playing for Wily Tower or is it garbage?

It's worth playing for the Wily Tower alone.

As for the games themselves, they fixed a few things for better or worse. (50-50)

MM2 is better here because it doesnt give you the option to pick the n00b difficulty.
