All facts that she acted like a psychopath and the whole issue wasn't a police matter at all aside, she was factually correct, in the sense that the designated grilling areas were for propane only and not charcoal.

She should have privately contacted the local city parks authority regarding it if she was that pissed off about it.

Yes, she was correct. I don't think anyone is disputing that. You can be correct without being a dick though.

She would have absolutely had the right to contact the local city parks privately and address her concerns in that manner.

What she actually did was not excusable.

Of course she has a right to, but the question is why. I mean I think we all know the answer of course, but there wasn't any practical reason for her to take action at all. Random people who feel the need to enforce rules when it is not their job to do so are the god damn worst

The fumes and the smoke can be a public hazard, which I assume is why they were banned in the first place

Rules like that exist in local parks for sanitation reasons, which I now realize working for city parks in my area.

The manner she chose was inexcusable, however, it should have been brought to the attention of the proper people in the proper manner which would have been 100% fair.

It's like leash laws. If someone has their unleashed Rottweiler roaming the park should people mind their business, or acknowledge that it is a possible safety concern? (yet do so through the proper communication channels)
