Legato-and-Vash 05/26/21 12:05:29 PM #1:	No injury to me, just paint damage from shattered glass from one of the colliding cars. I just found out that I have to pay to get the accident report. Didn't get the information of the person who caused the wreck. It was a major wreck and she was swarmed by onlookers and police came rather quickly. I asked one of the cops how to get a copy of the police report, and she wrote the report number down and told me to look online. I didn't realize it wouldn't be free. I can't make a claim on the person's insurance without the report since I don't know the driver's name. Is there any way to get the report passed to the insurance company without me paying for the report? Will the insurance company of the person who caused the wreck reimburse for the report? This was my first time being involved in a situation like this so I didn't think to take down the relevant information. Guess I didn't consider calling my insurance since I thought it would affect my premium and that I'd have to go directly to the other person's insurance instead. I'll give my insurance a call. I already have an estimate on the damage. $955 for just a few scratches on the hood. And yeah, even if you aren't at fault, it's still good to let your insurance company know about an accident.
