If I go back to FFXI... and my relic weapon progression was at stage 2 or 3. Can I complete it in a day?

Dynamis hasn't changed since the 2011 Abyssea patch... ... which I just realized was 10 years ago, and also 10 years AFTER the game game out (math not to scale)

Not all of the way because all relic/empyrean stuff has had a lot more stages added so they're usable (actually often best in slot) at endgame still. Currencies are still somewhat expensive (on the flip side, dynamis farming with thf is a decent way of earning money) too. Anything below level 99 takes significantly less time, though.

Yes but you have unlimited entries after doing the Rhapsodies of Vana'diel storyline (which removes almost all of the timed waits in the game for stuff like campaign, coalition missions, and assaults), and once you're level 99 with basic bitch vendor gear you're damn near unkillable. You can train almost the entire zone and aoe them down very fast, depending on your class. Bosses take a matter of seconds to kill.

By the way there's also an endgame version of Dynamis meant to be done in 16-man parties of level 99's if you want to relive those glory days eventually.

The old zones still function the exact same, yea. They added a second set of Dynamis maps at some point though involving other cities, plus there's the endgame Dynamis at 2018 now. But yea, the zones themselves are practically untouched.

Making a level 75 relic is easy if you buy the currency, the you need to do all the trials, then you need to afterglow it, and then need you to rank 15 augment it

And depending on the weapon you won't want to, because a lot of relics are pure trraaaaash compared to their other empy/mythic/ergon/aeonic/ambus/dyna-su5 competitors. Horn is obviously still worth it, aegis is still worth it, scythe is still great for drk in a survival/solo sense, gun has it's uses because of how the ws works with -enmity.

If you are interested in actually knowing what gear/weapon/etc you want on a job by job basis, just ask.

You aren't going to want to farm dyna anyway so the timelimit won't matter much. The currency is mega cheap so you'd be better off farming something else and buying the currency.

was thinking about coming back for the free login campaign but never ended up reinstalling the game

i'm a new era ffxi player, i started playing right when the first rhapsodies quests came out
