I feel like I'm overly excited about the case numbers dropping so much. Yeah, the numbers are typically lower on weekends, but we're still seeing lower and lower numbers during the week, too.

I want to go back to living my normal life.

That's not going to happen. Honestly the worst that can happen is that cases stabilize after 3 weeks with no masks, but it's not going to be a huge upswing. Too many people are either vaccinated or had it before for cases to explode after this imo

Well, technically, Pfizer was developed in Germany, was first to be given emergency approval in the US, and had nothing to do with operation warp speed. I think the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines were helped by operation warp speed, though.

It'll be interesting to see how the case counts go now that we have vaccines available and over 40% of the population fully vaccinated. I'm hoping we won't have another huge spike.

its about 30% in many states, and that's just adults. we probably wont see a huge wave like we did unless one of the mutation strains can subvert the vaccine, but you're going to see big spikes across the country; specifically teens/children and parts of the country where the vaccine rate stays low.

Even the states with the lowest vaccination rates have seen drops in cases

also to note: long term covid symptoms suck. can get covid cock (where you cant get it up anymore) or covid lung.

Ce badly needs a no politics rule.

Anyway, yeah it's been great seeing thr trend down over the last few months. Everytime the doomsayers have been saying okay now comes the spike!! It hasn't happened. More states are opening up across both parties main stays. Many look to be opening back fully in June.

Sports, concerts, movies whatever it is you enjoy for your vice are also opening up or increasing capacity.

Current estimated projections were around 65k newly infected for Sunday.

50k was their low ball prediction.

Here in Michigan, no results were uploaded, and won't be on Monday either.

It does all seem a bit promising though based on how we are trending.

Life should be getting better for awhile, until late September when it probably will greatly worsen again. :/
