A generous couple has been secretly stuffing money into diaper boxes and under formula canister lids at local Targets in order to help out struggling families.

Krystal Duhaney is a registered nurse and the founder of Milky Mama. A soon-to-be mother of three, when she and her husband Patrick had their first child they realized just how expensive raising a family can be.

Now theyre in a better place financially, they can afford to give back to othersso theyve stuffed about $1,000 in cash into various baby supplies around Los Angeles Target stores, and theyre not stopping any time soon.

We recalled how hard it was for us as new parents to afford some of the basics and we could imagine how difficult it must be during this pandemic, Krystal explained to TODAY.

We hope that the parents that purchase these items have a brighter day when they find our gifts,

Seems like there's a better way to get the money to someone who needs it. For all they know, the people buying the stuff don't need the money at all.

I love the idea of charitable whimsy, but this doesn't seem like it'll turn out the way they want. Like someone else said above, now that it's viral and public, people with and without kids are going to be tearing apart baby supplies to try to find money. Knowing how virality works, people nationwide and far beyond her area of activity will be looking, too.

And the most likely way to get the money to actually stay in a product is to slightly separate the packaging. If a manager or shelver finds slightly tampered with packaging, corporate would make the store throw those products away whether they knew they had money in them or not.

Not announcing it would have kept it more magical.

Announcing it is a great way to get poor people to buy baby stuff they dont need, just to try to win "the lottery". They'll just throw the stuff away and deprive people who need it of it. Or they'll start ripping stuff open in the store to try and find it and not even pay for the products, but make sure those who need them cant even purchase the item.

How do they know it'll be found by a "struggling mother"? Only poor people buy baby supplies?

Sounds like some poorly thought out attempt to go viral and get attention and a complete waste of money. It's not like they had to tell anyone if it was out of sheer goodness.

The fact that this became news doesnt mean that they were the ones who made a point to spread the word, necessarily. It could have been as simple as they told a few friends what theyd done, word spread around, and then the media outlets came
to them.

If they were really trying to do something good for the world, they'd go through the proper channels and find people who actually need it.

Not create some sensational story about randomly stuffing money in boxes at Target.

It's true though. For instance, If I was granted one wish; it would he to ability to pull any amount of and form of currency out of any pocket I reach into. I would then spend my days standing outside of grocerie stores, car lots, gas stations etc and pay for people's shit "out of my own pocket".

Broadcasting that would make me a fame whore, doing it randomly with no recognition would be noble.

I hope Im wrong but it sounds like a moneymaking scheme....for her.

sounds like some viral marketing for Target. Like, why announce it for a specific store chain? If anything Walmart would more likely reach your intended recipients.
