I looks like one strapped to a boot (rather than where it is: his calf) so to me it looks like his feet end on the step above where they actually are. If they were going for hiding his feet like that, they'd need his left foot to be a bit further forward so we didn't have that bit of light in front of his toes ruining the illusion. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz.
