haha I would have been the same. Whats funny is I checked on Disney Plus about a week ago and they wouldnt even let you purchase it through streaming since it was so close to being released.

Yeah she bought it on blue ray. I kept reminding her it would be free soon. We have a bunch of dinsey movies though so we might have gotten it anyway eventually.

Yeah Im gonna check that out tonight too. Its cool being able to watch all these new movies at home with HBO and (less frequently) Disney putting the fresh releases on their streaming services.

thats true. I know a lot of people who like having the Blu-ray versions of movies even if they are available on streaming.

But with bluray there are all the extras and commentary and deleted scenes and behind the scenes videos though right?

That gets me thinking do streaming platforms even offer extras? I have netflix and it certainly doesn't for movies and shows.

Anyway enjoy man, let's discuss it after.

Thank you will do! As for the extras, I think youre right the streaming doesnt include those. So that is a benefit of Blu-ray.

Honestly I love the fact that because they release it digitally I can finally watch new box office releases as soon as they come out with everyone else, and no longer have to wait 3-4 months for it to release on home media after everyone's already seen it and talked about it.

Even looking forward to black widow because of that

Not usually and I havent seen anything like a full-length commentary on streaming but Disney for example has done Making Ofs of certain shows like The Mandalorian. And Netflix has stuff like Beyond Stranger Things. You definitely get more extras on DVDs though.

This shit is great so far imo. Can't wait until they make a show about it honestly. The whole separate nations thing makes me believe this could be avatar lite for Disney, there's enough characters to do it properly.

If how to train your dragon can get 6 seasons or whatever, no way they can't do 3 seasons for this.

A lot of the extra stuff is on Disney+. Just go to the title and then go to Extras and a lot of the deleted scenes and making of stuff is in there. I know Infinity War has the Directors Commentary version on their so Raya may too now that its out properly

I really like the pricing model and hope they keep on with it. I too dont like spending $30 but I dont mind waiting 3 months to see it for free. Gonna do the same thing with Cruela as well.

The movie was amazing! I thought the world was so cool and how she was able to visit the various regions each with their own culture was a lot of fun.

I also really liked the theme of trusting others.

Just got finished watching it. I love it.

I do have a question though. If the Druug are repelled by water, and Pengu's magic power is to bring the rain...why not just keep it raining?

I see why because streaming services can possibly pull the movie from their platform

If you own the blu ray, you dont have to worry about that

This actually happened to me with the movie blade runner 2049. It was on HBO max soon after its release so I got to watch it over and over again there. Its one of my favorite movies but eventually they took it off HBO max and I was so mad. However, recently they have brought it back which is nice. So, I can see people wanting to own the physical copy of the movie for that reason.
