China and Korea, at the very least, do it too. I can't say beyond that, but I'm going to guess it's fairly widespread.

last name, first name, patronymic

in speaking, it's still first name, then last name.

Can someone tell me how Bangladesh names work? Because I knew someone back at called Abdul, his little brother is Abdul and his dad is also Abdul.

And are women exception to this pattern because I think all his sisters had different names.

According to wikipedia they use given name, surname.

im from Bangladesh and all the males in my family have the same first name, thats our family name, we refer to each other by our last name. As for the women in my family they all seemed to have the same last name but different first names, everyone referred to them by some nickname though. Mind you naming practice in Bangladesh varies widely from family to family, more and and more people are adopting Western style naming practices.
