Ehhhh...I'm sorry but I can't imagine ever finding that funny. I couldn't even finish the 2 minute video because of how cringe it was.

But 18 years ago THESE were high comedy:

It's still pretty awesome.

Wait, I take it back.

Around that timeframe, you know who peak comedy was?

Maddox

I'm going down the rabbit-hole seeing what he's been up to since. It's...kinda not pretty, but at least he had an interesting life along the way, I hope he's grateful what he had while it lasted at least. He seems to be doing ok now at least, tho obvs a shadow of his former presence

I started looking into it when I saw Dick Masterson on the PKA podcast and remembered they did a podcast together, a cool coincidence since we were talking about comedy masters from that time, lol

The peak of tv comedy for me was The Kids in the Hall and Chappell Show. Except for some comedians specials nothing has been especially brilliant except maybe a small portion of Eric Andres show.

Yeah, I remember giving his website continuous visits. Along with Somethingawful and Stileproject.

That lawsuit was hilariously stupid of him. He probably lost like 100k+.

I agree, but all of the videos in this topic look like they're shit just by the thumbnail.

I saw some of his stuff, was never all that amused.

Other than Half-Baked, I've never liked Chapelle all that much. I know his show was big, but the clips I'd watched were... eh. While not every sketch comedy show is going to land, everything I saw felt underwhelming or an outright dud. Compare that to Key & Peele where maybe half of what little I've seen was uproariously hilarious (rap music confession, the bank job, etc) and the rest was "eh".

I had watched some of Kids in the Hall during the 90s, but I barely remember any of it and the skits I've seen since haven't been all that funny.
