I used to be a Sony fanboy. I had the PS2, PS3, then PS4 before I jumped on building my own PC.

Honestly, if I was still a console player I'd probably get an Xbox. Missing out on Starfield, Elder Scrolls, and fucking Fallout? Fuck me. Microsoft really made a slam dunk with buying Bethesda.

Very true. I remember when it came to Skyrim and Fallout 4 on the PS4 how pissed I got when I couldn't get the same mods that Xbox players got because Sony's hard on for not allowing external assets.

Before that, I didn't really educate myself on mods so I was ignorant on how much they enhance games. Then I felt bitter when Sony took the stance they took. It was one of the main reasons I said "fuck it" and built a PC and swore off consoles. So, I guess, thanks Sony?

Well yeah. The new ones are impossible to find. Older generation of GPUs are being sold at a higher price than the new generation's MSRPs. The hell is there nothing to bitch about?

I have a Sapphire 5700XT Nitro+ that I bought a year ago for $450. That same GPU is now selling for over $1,200. I hope my spot on EVGA's queue hits because I can sell my current GPU and end up profiting $200 by upgrading and selling my GPU.

It's insane.

Forza Horizon is a different series (open-world, more arcadey) from Forza Motorsport (track based, more realistic).

Iracing or assetta corsa if you want sim.

The crew 2 if you want open world arcade.

Gt sport if you want pick up and play online racing.

Wrc9 if you want rally.

F1 if you want career mode.

Possibly autmobilisa 2, but I need to play their physics overhaul.

I put 40 hours into The Crew 2 and liked it more than most, but I don't think it's close to Forza Horizon's level in terms of quality and fun. It's got a great map that they needed two years to fill with things that were fun to do instead of a lootbox based grind.

Except it didn't need anything to fill it unlike horizons we're going to only let you do events for 2 weeks then take them away for 6 weeks so we can be games as a service.

The grind in the crew 2 was ass until about 4 months ago when they finally reduced it and made it worth recommending.

To be fair, the Crew 2 does that too. There's quite a few cars that you can only get from being in the top 3,000 of the Live Summit events that change every week. Though you're right that the new season content stays instead of being removed after the event ends. Hopefully Horizon 5 learns from 4's mistakes.

The cars are just skins of others but yes, that's why it's mostly done right. Any of the races in the summit can always be done. Unlike season locked bullshit like fh4. The paid season pass is so shit no one buys it and new cars havent been dlc, unlike fh4. And most importantly snow is near meaningless instead of hey get fucked for 2 weeks.

At the very least Mexico should be more interesting than the UK. But forza has been increasingly gaas for the last 5 games since they added those bullshit gamble mods in motorsports. And every new entry has only gotten worse.

The crew2 is a game I come back to every few months and always enjoy. Where as everytime you go, "maybe I was to hard on forza it does have a nice car list...oh look after 7 hours of downloading it's fucking winter"
