The story is mainly about the Wave Existence trying to break free from Zohar. Everything is just trivial in that grand scheme of things. Fei and Elly is an infinite loop of continues created from the Wave Existence, hoping they would somehow destroy Zohar and free the Wave Existence.

What great moral was I supposed to deeply understand from this game?

God and religion is fake(Ethos, Deus, Wave Existence).
We're all being manipulated by a much higher and larger entity(Solaris).
Be true to yourself and don't block out inner personalities(Id).
Always tell someone how you much you love them before it's too late(Lacan and Sophia).

What charmed you the most? It isn't something I haven't seen before in other games.

I think people were charmed more from the romantic relationship between Fei and Elly, and the experiences the two went through to get to where they are. And if you count their previous incarnations I guess you feel more compelled to be even more invested.

But... their original relationship is kinda tabooish.

How did it make you feel? Lacan was such a bitch. He was literally going into depression because he was unable to tell Sophia he loved her even when she was bending over for him. His reason was because he didn't want to take the Mother of Nisan away from the people. What a dummy.

What I don't get is this;

Why does Grahf ally up with Miang and Karellen? They have separate goals. Grahf wanted to destroy everything, including God(Deus). Miang wanted to resurrect Deus. Karellen wanted to be part of Deus.

For lore, I want to know how a spaceship crashes down on a planet and there was never any sort of rescue team to save them -- even thousands of years later after building up a new society.

I believe it was a one way mission.
